DFL Training Summit!
The DFL Training Summit is a full day motivational and practical training for DFL activists, party leaders, candidates and campaign staff, led by nationally recognized speakers and political experts.
The Training Summit is on Saturday, June 8th, 2019, at Metropolitan State University, 700 East Seventh Street, Saint Paul, MN 55106-5000. (There is no smoking on campus). Check-in will begin at 7:30am. Training sessions will run from 8:30am to 5:45pm, followed by a social hour with cash bar.
The registration cost is $35 which includes a continental breakfast, lunch, social hour and all sessions.

Registrants select one of three Tracks
The training break-out sessions are divided into three Tracks, each designed to develop specific knowledge and skills for political action. When registering, participants choose one Track, which is comprised of multiple sessions that build on each other throughout the day.
TRACK 1: Organized Activism *SOLD OUT
Participants: Grassroots organizers and local party activists
- Aimed at experienced organizers looking to hone their skills, as well as new activists looking to get started in a local party unit or campaign. This Track includes a panel discussion with experienced organizers sharing lessons they have learned, followed by skill-building sessions
TRACK 2: Candidates and Campaigns *SOLD OUT
Participants: Candidates, campaign staff and volunteers, and any DFLers considering running for public office
- Led by political experts from Washington, DC and Minnesota who know what it takes to win, this Track covers the fundamentals of building a successful campaign, financing a run for office, and developing skills for intentional communication.
TRACK 3: Political Data *SOLD OUT
Participants: Local party activists, campaign staff and volunteers with a knack for technology
- The use of political data is the basis for much of the work done in elections. This Track will help participants gain the skills necessary to access, record and utilize data through our VAN system. *Participants in this Track must bring a laptop. Tablets cannot be substituted.
