Yesterday, in an interview with the Rochester Post Bulletin, Minnesota Republican Party Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan refused to affirm the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election.

Today, DFL Party Chairman Ken Martin released the following statement in response to Governor Walz’s announcement that general fund revenues totaled $3.306 billion in May, nearly $1.8 billion or 119% more than projected. This report also increased the fiscal year 2021 projection by $2.170 billion or 10.4% bringing the total to $23.113 billion for the year.

Now, President Biden and congressional Democrats are poised to make this life-changing provision permanent with the passage of the American Families Plan.

In a stunning report just released by Fox 9, it was revealed that a Republican National Committee (RNC) staffer, Kip Christianson, tricked a blind, disabled war veteran into running for Congress under a 3rd party in order to pull votes from the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party candidate in Minnesota’s swing 7th congressional district.

The past year has been devastating for Minnesota’s working families, as child care options became even more unaffordable and enrollment decreased. While Minnesota received $325 million in federal funding from President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan to support the state’s child care industry amid the pandemic, more must be done — and Democrats in Washington have introduced two historic plans that would invest millions more in Minnesota’s children and families.

On Monday, Governor Walz and Minnesota’s legislative leaders reached an agreement on a historic budget framework that prioritizes students, relief for working families, and Minnesota’s small businesses. After over a year of unprecedented challenges, the Governor has taken steps to secure the resources necessary to move Minnesota forward and provide support for those most impacted by COVID-19.

Representatives Hagedorn, Emmer, Fischbach, and Stauber voted against bipartisan legislation to establish a commission to investigate the January 6th assault on the United States Capitol.
