DFL Party Applauds Passage of Bill Legalizing Cannabis

Following the passage of HF 600, which legalizes adult-use cannabis in Minnesota, DFL Party Chairman Ken Martin released the following statement:
“I applaud House DFLers for their historic vote to legalize and regulate adult-use cannabis. The people of Minnesota and DFL Party lawmakers are ready to legalize and responsibly regulate cannabis, expunge non-violent convictions, and end the harm done by senseless prohibition laws.
“Unfortunately, Minnesota Senate Republicans’ commitment to blocking this important legislation proves that they remain mired in the past, indifferent to the will of the citizens they represent, and ignorant of the benefits to legalization.
“Going forward, Minnesotans should know that a vote for a Republican or against a DFLer is also a vote against legalizing cannabis.”
