DFL Party Announces Departure of Executive Director

03/01/2021

Today, the Minnesota DFL Party is announcing the departure of Executive Director Sally Miller. Miller joined the Party as Executive Director in January of 2019 and is departing to become the Democratic Politics and Elections Director at ActBlue, a progressive fundraising technology nonprofit that works to empower small-dollar donors.

DFL Party Chairman Ken Martin released the following statement:

“I want to thank Sally Miller for her tremendous service to the Minnesota DFL Party and the people of our state. Her hard work and dedication to our cause was crucial to securing DFL Party victories up and down the ballot in November.

Sally is, and will always be, a member of the DFL family and while I am certainly sad to see her go,  I couldn’t be more excited for her as she begins the next journey in her career as the Democratic Politics and Elections Director for ACTBlue. Sally and I have known each other for close to 25 years and have had the fortune to work with each other many times over that period – she is an immense talent, a superb manager, and a great political mind. I wish her all the best in this new role and am so appreciative of her contributions to our Party these last three years. The DFL Party has already begun the search for a new Executive Director and I am confident that our party will continue to fire on all cylinders as we prepare for the 2022 midterm elections.”
