St. Louis County 06 is a strong unit of the Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor Party providing organization and support for Local, State, Federal and National Democratic Endorsed candidates all across the heartland of the Iron Range in Minnesota.


Now that we made such grand strides in 2018, it is paramount that we continue to build on the BLUE WAVE and work toward more success in 2020.

Tommy Rukavina

VIRGINIA, MN — Funeral arrangements are scheduled this weekend for Tom Rukavina, a former St. Louis County Commissioner and legislator in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Range Funeral Home. The visitation will continue at 9:30 a.m. Saturday until service time at the church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia.

Rukavina died earlier this month at the age of 68 at a Minnesota hospital following a year-long battle with leukemia.

Rukavina was first elected tot he House in 1986 and was an advocate for the Iron Range taconite and mining industry, education, organized labor, and everyday people.
