Kandiyohi County DFL Party Opens Office in Willmar

10/30/2021

Today, the Kandiyohi County DFL Party is announcing the opening of an office in Willmar, Minnesota in partnership with the Minnesota DFL Party. The space will be used to host phone banks, launch door-to-door canvassing, and hold community engagement events. This is the first time in decades that Kandiyohi DFLers have had an office in a non-election year.

Minnesotans looking to join the Kandiyohi County DFL Party for an event should head to kandiyohidemocrats.org.

Shelby Loberg, Chair of the Kandiyohi County DFL Party, released the following statement:

“Our DFL office in downtown Willmar will be a place to welcome our community and outside guests, hold meetings, and organize for outreach.  We’re grateful to our volunteers for their efforts, donors for their contributions, and the state DFL for their investment in rural votes and voices.”

Ken Martin, DFL Party Chairman, released the following statement:

“The Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party is fighting to build a future where every Minnesotan has access to quality health care, a good-paying job, and a world-class public education. Our vision for a Minnesota of shared opportunity and prosperity resonates with voters across the state, which is why DFLers are working hard to organize and earn votes across the state.

“The Minnesota DFL Party is tremendously excited to be joining forces with the Kandiyohi County DFL Party to open an office in Willmar. From canvassing to phone banking to community engagement, the Willmar office will be a hub of grassroots organizing in this crucial part of our state. By investing in organizing and engagement early in the 2022 election cycle, the DFL Party is positioning ourselves to win at the ballot box and move Minnesota forward.”
