Job Description

The Minnesota DFL (Democratic Party) is seeking full time and part time Canvassers to start immediately to implement voter contact efforts through the February 5 Special Election. Please note this is NOT a fundraising position.  Competitive salary available.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Active or interest in becoming active in the DFL Party and passionate about progressive values
  • Reliable transportation to office and cell phone
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work will in a team
  • Willingness to work unconventional hours

General Job Duties are as follows:

  • Door-to-door and phone conversations with voters about issues and candidates
  • Accurate reporting and database management
  • Help teammates to establish best practices
  • Bring issues to the attention of the Canvass Director
  • Other duties as assigned

Ideal applicants will be or have:

  • Passionate about progressive values
  • Reliable transportation to the office (having a car is not necessary)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a good attitude
  • Ability to work without supervision for long periods
  • Willingness to work irregular and long hours that are associated with campaigning
  • Willingness to work outside in inclement weather
