DFL Chair Ken Martin statement on tonight’s Eighth Congressional District debate

“Tonight Rick Nolan again showed why he’s the only candidate in the Eighth Congressional race that will put middle class Minnesotans first. From fighting for our veterans to championing our steel workers, protecting Social Security to fighting for basic opportunity for all Minnesotans, Rick Nolan has proven time and again he’s looking out for all of us.

Stewart Mills on the other hand still hasn’t grown up. His hair may be different but his terrible policies and immature behavior are the same. Whether it’s pushing tax cuts for the rich, bad trade policies that will benefit only him and the wealthy, privatizing Social Security or making crude and vulgar jokes about women on social media, Stewart Mills III is not fit to represent Northeastern Minnesota in Congress.”
