Be a DFL Volunteer at the 2016 State Fair!

Preparations are underway for the Great Minnesota Get-Together! This year, the Minnesota State Fair opens on Thursday, August 25 and closes on Labor Day, September 5. We rely on our wonderful volunteers to greet visitors and help everything run smoothly at the DFL booth. It’s a lot of fun to be a volunteer and we hope you’ll join us!

Perqs: Not only will you have the opportunity to meet other DFLers and elected officials, you will receive a FREE TICKET to enjoy the rest of the State Fair on the day you volunteer. Volunteers work a 4-hour shift between 9am and 9pm. Midday shifts and weekends will be the busiest times, so extra enthusiasm and energy is encouraged during those shifts!

Prep: Volunteer training will take place at the Minnesota DFL headquarters on Sunday, August 14 from 1:00-3:00. Volunteers will learn about their duties at the booth, such as registering fair-goers for the iPad drawing, distributing balloons to kids and promoting the DFL. Tickets for the Fair will be distributed at the volunteer training.

Interested? Please fill out the form below. We will contact you with further information in the coming weeks. Any questions can be directed to Training and Party Affairs Intern, Alida Tieberg (atieberg@dfl.org).   Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Minnesota DFL. We look forward to seeing you at volunteer training on Sunday, August 14 and during your shift at the Minnesota State Fair!
