Senate District 46 DFL

*** Keep LRT Alive ***

Southwest LRT is in danger of not moving forward and we need your help.  Please reach out to Gov. Dayton, Rep. Daudt and Sen. Hann (contact info below). Please keep your message simple and non-partisan – just a quick note of support.  Thanks!

Letter of support example:

Dear ______,

I am writing to urge you to support southwest light rail transit.  Our community needs this transportation option.  (add your own personal sentence) I not only live in the area, I am part of a local medium-sized business and I know how important SW LRT would be for the community. I would also be a rider.

Support SW LRT.

Thank you.

SD46 Convention Saturday, March 19, at the St. Louis Park High School

The Senate District 46 convention is next Saturday, March 19, at the St. Louis Park High School in the auditorium.  Registration starts at 9am and the convention begins at 10am.  Please arrive no later than 9:45am in order to register and find your seat with your precinct.

The high school address is 6425 West 33rd Street, St. Louis Park, 55426.  Plan to use the 33rd street entrance or the district office entrance.  Parking is available on the street and to the west of the school.  It is NOT recommended that people use the field house parking lot and the south entrances.
The convention will last a few hours.  It is hard to say when it will finish but do not expect it to be done before mid-afternoon.  It is preferred that you do not leave early.  With that said, if you have a conflict later in the day, it is better that you attend part of the convention than not at all.

You will not need to bring much.  All materials will be provided but you might want to bring a pen and pad of paper for notes.  Feel free to bring food and drinks, but please note that food and non-resealable drink containers are NOT allowed in the auditorium.  Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.

Check the Senate District 46 homepage (www.dfl.org/sd46) for more details as the date approaches.

Pre-Convention Committee Meeting

Just a friendly reminder…

Pre-Convention Committee Meeting today, March 5, at 12pm the St. Louis Park Junior High (2025 Texas Ave. S, St. Louis Park, 55426).
