Senate District 46 DFL

Donate to SD46 and get refunded up to $50 with the Political Contribution Refund Program

The Political Contribution Refund (PCR) program has been reinstated effective July 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017.

What is the PCR?

The PCR is a program where any eligible MN voter may contribute up to $50 (or $100 per couple), once a calendar year, to a party unit or candidate for a state office (Governor, State Legislature), and have their contribution refunded by the MN Department of Revenue. Only contributions made on or after July 1, 2017 qualify for a refund under the program.  Donations must be made by December 31, 2017!

Who qualifies for the PCR?

An individual qualifies if they are an eligible MN voter. They do not need to be a registered voter.

Is Senate District 46 a qualified organization for PCR?

Yes, SD46 qualifies.  We are registered with the Campaign Finance Board.  You will be refunded up to $50 for an individual (or $100 per coupon) for donations you make to SD46.

What do I do next?

  1. Donate $50 to SD46 (or with your spouse donate $100!).   You can donate online right now at www.dfl.org/SD46/donate.  We also accept checks (payable to ‘DFL Senate District 46’).  Our mailing address is DFL Senate District 46, 5115 Excelsior Blvd., #227, St. Louis Park, MN  55416.
  2. Within a couple weeks after you donate, you will receive a receipt from SD46.
  3. Once you have your receipt, fill out the Political Contribution Refund Application and send it to Minnesota Department of Revenue, Political Contribution Refund, St. Paul, MN  55146-1800.  Make sure to submit the application before April 16, 2018
  4. You will receive your refund from the Minnesota Department of Revenue within a couple months.

Where can I go for further questions, or to get another copy of the Refund Application?

St. Louis Park Parktacular

Walk with Senate District 46 and our representatives Senator Latz, Representative Youakim and Representative Flanagan in the St. Louis Park Parktacular Parade on Saturday, June 17.  All are welcome!

We will begin lining up at 11:30am in the Minikahda Vista neighborhood.   We will be lined up in positions 44, 45 and 46 with Senator Latz, Representative Flanagan and Representative Youakim.  This is somewhere around Huntington Ave S and 38th St.  The parade begins at noon.

Parking can be difficult so plan to walk a couple block to our parade position.  Also the neighborhood will be very busy so plan on traffic.  The parade ends at the St. Louis Park Rec Center so many people park near the end and walk to the parade position.

If you have any other question, call John Martin (952-451-1450) or Claire Lukens (952-412-8806).

After the parade, Senate District 46 will have a booth at Wolfe Park.
